The Nutcracker Ballet & Sleeping Beauty

Well Christmas is almost amongst us! I know .. for some of you this will be much too early but if like me you love twinkling lights and the sound of sleigh bells then this festive period can't come soon enough!!

Here are the top 3 that made it to our calender...

Christmas Carols .. Well we are being blessed this year there are several to choose from! On Thursday 3rd September kicking the season off we have Lizzy Parks and her Big Blaze Chorus performing in the English church in Cannes .. Then on the Sunday 6th December at 17h there is a Carol Concert in the St Blaise Church - the Sweet Seven troup (actually eight members!) perform a concert with jazz, harmony and classic versions of seasonal favourites. The Riviera International Singers round things up on the 10th and 12th of December. It's time to Deck the halls!

The English Pantomime this year put on by South of France Theatre group will be Sleeping Beauty. They will be performing in ANTIBES Theatre Tribuna: 20th Dec 20152 show times: Matinee 14:30pm and evening 19:30pm VALBONNE Pre des Arts: 12th Jan 2016Evening show 19:30pm. We tested their Cinderella performance in 2014 and it was great fun - really enjoyed it and hooping to go back this year!

The Nutcracker Ballet performed by the Royal Opera House will be doing their live screening on Wednesday 16th December 2015 around the world and we are lucky enough to have several cinemas participating in Beausoleil, Nice and Valbonne!

I can't wait to go and see this - it will just be the perfect start to the Christmas festivities! As you may have read I recently became an Arts Ambassador for live screened events like these, so important for us to have access to international culture and just brilliant that we can do so without taking a plane.
