In all our Franglais Classes we plant the language development seeds that later on in life you and your child's schools can germinate into some strong language skills.

Our classes are kept deliberately small to ensure your child has the close attention and support needed to ensure correct pronunciation from the start. Led by Mother Tongue English level teachers who have correct accent,intonation and pronunciation as well as the naturelness in the language we are best placed to best share the basics with your child. This is very important as the child's ear is so acute and receptive .. to start down the wrong pronunciation path would be a disaster hard remedied.

As many adults confirm, starting English late in life and the fear of making mistakes are key reasons for not succeeding in English. To introduce English before your child enters a self conscious phase is key to later development. We know it is never to soon to acquire a second, third or fourth language, we have the proof in our own kids! This is why even from the KidooTots age group we commence English in our Rainbow playgroups.

Franglais Foundations. Keeping things light and fun, generating interest. We will start with the basics: introductions, numbers, letters, colours. Learning through play we will enter the worlds of make believe, board games, sing songs, story telling and art.

Don't expect your child to come home bilingual with one session a week but instead hope that your child will become culturally aware, develop an ear for languages and enjoy a taste of the best educational resources that the UK has to offer. That said if you work with us and start to introduce English at home too through books and DVDs you will certainly see your child develop a good grounding for later in life.

Aimed at French children embarking on their first English experiences and also mother tongue English speakers who go to a French Maternelle or Creche who would like to maintain their second language, meet other culturally minded people and pick up on the latest vocab, terms and cool ideas from across the channel! While remaining fun, the focus here will be the written word, spelling, reading and pronunciation. Using flash cards, puzzles, worksheets, books and other support materials to really work and progress their English.

We have links with schools in the UK too and will help to find your child a pen pal if you would like this.

This is a great session to join in parallel and in compliment toyour childs school curriculum. Feel free to bring in your child's school books so we can assess their level and pinpoint any development areas.
